TURNING THE TABLES 

 

PSALM 16:11 NLT

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.

 

Psalm 23 ESV

23 The Lord is my shepherd;I shall not want.2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;He leads me beside the still waters.3 He restores my soul;He leads me in the paths of righteousnessFor His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil;For You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;You anoint my head with oil;My cup runs over.6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow meAll the days of my life;And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

  

Is the Lord my Shepherd?

 

Am I allowing the Lord to Shepherd me?

 

V5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of

my enemies;”

 

2 Timothy 2:15 NIV

 

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

 

(It’s only when we study/flesh out the Word, that we see the fullness and richness of it.)

 

Prepare: aw-rak'

to arrange, set or put or lay in order, set in array, prepare, order, ordain, handle, furnish, esteem, equal, direct, compare

(God is divinely orchestrating and arranging things on my behalf)

 

Table: shool-khawn'

a table (as spread out); by implication, a meal:—table as of king's table, private use, sacred uses

(God is setting something in place very special on my behalf.)

 

(Connected to shaw-lakh')

to send, send away, let go, stretch out, extend, direct, to let loose, to send off or away or out or forth, dismiss, give over, cast out

to let go, set free, to shoot forth (of branches) to be sent off, be put away, be divorced of, be impelled

(God is doing these things take me to the next level of freedom and blessing, is why God is setting up some things for me, that are very special, on my behalf)

 

Before Me: neh'-ghed

in front of, straight forward, before, in sight of, in front of oneself, before your face, in your view or purpose


 

Presence: paw-neem'

face, before and behind, toward, in front of, forward, formerly, from beforetime, before, vex, harass

 

My Enemies: tsaw-rar'

to bind, be narrow, be in distress, make narrow, cause distress, besiege, be straightened, be bound, to show hostility toward, treat with enmity

 

 

“The Lord sets a special table for me for all the world to see; that He’s been preparing on my behalf that will set me free from my adversary.”

 

Turning the Tables

(The Story of Esther and Mordecai)

 

 

They humbled themselves in fasting and weeping. Esther chapter 4 verse three.


James 4:10 NKJV

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.

 

Esther 3:14 “for such a time as this.” “God had prepared the answer for the Jews even before the trouble.


In Esther 4:14 we see “they fasted and prayed seeking the Lord’s wisdom.”

 

And Esther chapter 6, we see the beginning of the turning of the tables as Hamond was honored instead of being put to death I hit him in the back.

 

 

In chapter seven we see the complete turn around


Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.


Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

 

Esther 9:22 “sorrow was turned to gladness and morning into joy. The festivals of Purim.


Psalm 30:11-12 NKJV

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me;You have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
