Meet Our Team

Johnny grew up in Eastern North Carolina and served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. In 2005 Johnny received a degree in Pastoral Ministry from Jacksonville Theological Seminary. Having both an entrepreneurial spirit, and a heart for ministry Johnny has had significant experience in both. In 2012 his lifelong interest in radio came to fruition as he launched My Bridge FM, a local CCM broadcast radio station, that later became SOZO Radio, an all-digital worship station that can be heard around the world.  He published his first book, The SOZO Life in 2022 that is available through online book sellers.  Johnny and his wife Jen, enjoy spending time with their large family and life in the Inner Banks town of Washington NC.

Jen grew up in New Jersey and moved to Lynchburg, Virginia as a young adult. She studied at Liberty University earning both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education. She served as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist for 15 years prior to her move to North Carolina. Jen is married to Pastor Johnny and they enjoy life in Eastern North Carolina, spending time with family, and serving together at Harbor Church.

Scott  was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina. After graduating from Pitt Community College in 1997 with an AAS in Criminal Justice, he joined the North Carolina Highway Patrol in 1998. In 2024, Scott enrolled in Charis Bible College to further grow in his walk with Christ and deepen his understanding of God’s Word. He and his wife, Joy, love spending time together and faithfully serving at Harbor Church. Scott also enjoys living in Washington, North Carolina, where they call home.

Alvaro grew up in Eastern North Carolina and graduated from Pitt Community College with an associate’s degree. He has a deep passion for people and a heart for worship, dedicated to helping others grow in their understanding of what it means to worship God. Outside of ministry, Alvaro enjoys spending time with the people he loves, watching sports, and serving the Lord in every area of his life.

Jayden and Maci both grew up in Greenville, North Carolina but never knew each other until they crossed paths at a public park in May of 2020. They immediately connected through their mutual love of music and Jesus. They were married by December of 2021 and have since joined their talents to further glorify God through musical worship. They still reside in Greenville along with their new puppy, Jack. Their free time is spent traveling, writing music and enjoying the company of friends and family. 

Joel grew up in Eastern North Carolina and is a graduate of Pitt Community College, where he earned his associate's degree. With a deep passion for technology, Joel is dedicated to finding innovative ways to support the church and its mission. Outside of his work, he cherishes spending time with his wife, Abigail, enjoys watching sports, and loves connecting with family and friends.
