The Power of "OF"
Luke 12:32 KJV
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Luke 12:32 AMP
Do not be afraid and anxious, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The Father desires to give us His Kingdom, not just a future home in heaven, but access to His royal power, dominion, and authority here and now.
Kingdom (Greek: basileia): Royal power, kingship, dominion, rule, not merely a physical place, but the authority to reign. It is the royal power of Jesus as the triumphant Messiah and the authority given to Christians in His Kingdom.
This kingdom isn’t something we earn; it’s something we receive. And once received, we are called to walk in it, live from it, and let it expand through us as a witness of the King.
The Challenge:
What do we do when life doesn't look like the Kingdom? When circumstances contradict God’s promises? How do we possess the Kingdom and live in it when everything around us says otherwise?
We must live not just in faith, but of the faith of the Son of God.
Galatians 2:20 – The Heart of the Message
Galatians 2:20 KJV
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 NKJV
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 TPT
"My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me, we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!"
Living "of" the faith of the Son of God means more than believing in Jesus, it means living from His faith, from His confidence, His obedience, and His perspective.
Powerful Story that illustrates: 1 Kings 17:7-16
7 But after a while the brook dried up, for there was no rainfall anywhere in the land. The Widow at Zarephath 8 Then the Lord said to Elijah, 9 “Go and live in the village of Zarephath, near the city of Sidon. I have instructed a widow there to feed you.”
10 So he went to Zarephath. As he arrived at the gates of the village, he saw a widow gathering sticks, and he asked her, “Would you please bring me a little water in a cup?” 11 As she was going to get it, he called to her, “Bring me a bite of bread, too.”
12 But she said, “I swear by the Lord your God that I don’t have a single piece of bread in the house. And I have only a handful of flour left in the jar and a little cooking oil in the bottom of the jug. I was just gathering a few sticks to cook this last meal, and then my son and I will die.”
13 But Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and do just what you’ve said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!”
15 So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days. 16 There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.
Three Steps to Living “Of” the Faith of the Son of God:
1. Yield Your Identity to Christ
"I am crucified with Christ... Christ lives in me..." (Gal. 2:20)
Living of His faith begins with surrender. Our old self, our past, fears, limitations, was crucified with Him. We no longer live out of your own efforts, but from His life within you. The more we release who you were, the more we walk in who He is through you.
2. Trust His Provision Over Your Perception
Let’s look at a real example of Kingdom faith in action:
1 Kings 17:7–16 (The Widow at Zarephath)
This woman saw lack, but God saw provision.
She expected death, but God gave life.
She moved in obedience by the instruction she had received from the Lord, and what happened?
She lived of the faith that was spoken to her, not her own. And God multiplied.
Living of His faith means we act on what He says, not on what we see.
3. Fix Your Eyes on Jesus, the Source and Finisher
Hebrews 12:1–2
"...Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith..."
Jesus is not just the example of faith, He is the originator and completer of it. When we focus on Him, His confidence, His obedience, and His victory, His faith becomes our foundation.
Luke 12:32
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Don’t be afraid. You’re not trying to build your own kingdom. You are walking in the King’s authority. It’s not about your faith being big enough, but about your willingness to rely on His faith, already proven, already victorious.
Conclusion:
Living "of" the faith of the Son of God is not passive, it is intentional surrender, obedience, and focus. You’re not just surviving in the Kingdom. You are expanding it.You’re not just believing in Jesus. You are living from His faith.
